A four-month investigation by the Saskatchewan RCMP into drug trafficking at the Prince Albert Provincial Correctional Centre has resulted in charges against a 30-year-old woman.
Tara Anita Bird of Prince Albert is charged with conspiracy to traffic controlled substances for the benefit of the Terror Squad street gang.
Police say a female suspect, who is not an inmate or employee of the correctional centre, is behind an organization that was throwing drugs into the jail.
Bird is next due in Prince Albert court on Sept. 17.
The Saskatchewan RCMP Crime Reduction Team had been investigating the case since May.
