RCMP said a woman is dead after being ejected from an SUV, which crashed near Pelican Narrows Saturday evening.
The single vehicle collision occurred 16 kilometres from that community on Highway 135 at approximately 8:30 PM.
Police said the SUV was carrying seven people at the time of the incident.
A 28-year-old woman in the front passenger seat was ejected from the vehicle and was declared deceased at the scene.
Five other occupants, ages 17, 34, 31, 29, and 30, all sustained varying levels of injuries and were taken to hospital in Pelican Narrows or Flin Flon for treatment.
Mounties allege that the 22-year-old female driver left the scene, but was later found at the clinic in Pelican Narrows.
She was arrested and charged with impaired driving causing death. No names are being released.
