A long-time resident of Northern Saskatchewan has revealed why he has decided to seek the NDP nomination for the Churchill River riding in the next federal election.
Earl Cook says he’s decided to seek the nomination because of his dissatisfaction with the current representation.
Cook says his familiarity with northern issues from working in the North for many years makes him a good candidate for the position.
At present, Cook is coordinator of the Northern Health Strategy, but has also been the regional director of post-secondary education in the North, the director of NORTEP and a consultant for the Northern Lights School Division.
