RCMP are investigating after a 29-year-old man was shot while sitting in a parked vehicle in Meadow Lake on Monday.
Police say the man, who was in the driver’s seat of the vehicle, was shot once and taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Two other occupants of the vehicle were unharmed in the incident which took place on Cochin Avenue.
Mounties say although the vehicle was stationary at the beginning of the shooting, it was put in motion, struck a power pole, caught fire and was heavily damaged.
Police say the attack was not random.
