The Northern Inter Tribal Health Authority (NITHA) says there are 641 active cases of COVID-19 in their communities.
Of NITHA’s regions the far northeast has the highest number of active cases with 278. The far northwest has the second highest number of active cases with 153. The northeast is reporting 92 active cases while the north central region has 77.
NITHA said eight people are currently in hospital and 1,192 cases have so far recovered.
In far north central Saskatchewan the Athabasca Health Authority is reporting 37 active cases of COVID-19. This is an increase of one case from the authority’s previous report. No new recoveries were reported.
Black Lake is currently reporting the most active cases with 26. Fond-du-Lac has the second highest number of cases with seven, however only six of cases are currently in the community. Stony Rapids is sitting at four active cases.
