The SJHL will be hosting a virtual showcase this coming Friday and Saturday.
The league says this initiative has been created to help provide some added exposure for the players in the SJHL.
“This is a great opportunity to provide some positivity and entertainment in what has been a difficult period of time for many of us,” said SJHL President Bill Chow in a news release. “This event will provide some extra exposure for our athletes, which will help scouts identify names of players that they should be watching.”
The virtual event will feature the top 80 players in the SJHL, as selected by the SJHL Coaches Committee. Each team will be created by Alex Watson and will be inserted into EA Sports NHL 21. The games will then be simulated on PlayStation 4.
Rosters for the showcase will be released today (Monday) and the games will be available to watch on SaskTel maxTV and Twitch.
