When the WHL hub gets going in Regina next week, you will see plenty of connections to the La Ronge Ice Wolves.
Defenceman Adam McNutt, who played three games this season with La Ronge, will suit up for the Prince Albert Raiders. In three games during the 2020-21 campaign with the Ice Wolves, the 17-year-old Saskatoon product recorded one assist. McNutt was selected by the Raiders in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.
Forward Josh Paulhus signed with the Saskatoon Blades last week. The 2002-born Saskatoon product only appeared in one game with the Ice Wolves this season. Paulhus primarily spent the 2019-20 campaign with the SJHL’s Humboldt Broncos, but he also appeared in three games with the Regina Pats and scored one goal.
Meantime, 17-year-old defenceman Nolan Allan will rejoin the Prince Albert Raiders. The Davidson, SK product was on loan to the Ice Wolves to start the season. In five games, he tallied five points. NHL Central Scouting is projecting Allan to be selected in the second or third round of the next NHL Draft.
The puck drops at the hub in Regina March 12 and will feature Saskatchewan and Manitoba WHL teams.
