Logan Holm of the La Ronge Ice Wolves has been nominated for the SJHL Community Ambassador award.
“I like being out in the community with the kids,” said Holm. “You go up to La Ronge to play hockey, but then you get to be immersed into the community and get to know everyone. It’s a really good experience. It’s nice to have that under my belt, knowing all those people and having those relationships with the fans.”
The 2002-born Saskatoon defenceman tallied 16 points in 45 games during the 2019-20 season with the Ice Wolves. He appeared in four games this season with La Ronge.
“Logan consistently volunteers for community events and often participates in minor hockey practices,” said Gaelan Patterson, who is the associate coach of the Ice Wolves. “He represents the team and town with pride — and is an outstanding young man.”
Meantime, the SJHL season was paused in November after tighter COVID-19 measures were introduced by the province.
