A Saskatchewan Party candidate that ran in a Northern Saskatchewan riding in the recent election doesn’t think Elwin Hermanson’s leadership was behind his party’s election loss.
Hermanson announced yesterday that he will step down as the party’s leader early next year.
Winston McKay, who ran in the Cumberland riding, says it was fear-mongering by the NDP and the unions that cost the Saskatchewan Party the election.
McKay also says he’s a big fan of Saskatchewan Party MLA Brad Wall, and thinks he would make a fine leader.
He also feels that whoever is selected as the new party leader will likely come from one of the province’s 2 major cities.
