One man is dead, after capsizing a canoe on Amisk Lake near Creighton.
RCMP say six men were canoeing Wednesday evening when their vessels overturned while trying to cross the lake.
Police say that a storm rolled in creating large waves, which capsized the canoes.
The men stayed with the canoes and floated until they reached cell range. They then called 9-1-1 using a cell phone stored in a waterproof container.
An unidentified 48-year-old Saskatoon man, who was found unconscious was taken to hospital and pronounced deceased.
The remaining five men were taken to Flin Flon hospital for assessment.
