Métis Nation-Saskatchewan is celebrating their culture and heritage next week through the Batoche Métis Fall Festival.
In a press release, MN-S said this festival will “bring people back together again on the traditional land of Batoche.”
This is the first in-person event the organization has held since the beginning of the pandemic.
MN-S Culture and Heritage minister Sherry McLennan said the festival isn’t Back to Batoche, the organization’s annual summer festival, but instead it’s a “celebration of life.”
The fall festival will feature jigging, fiddling and food vendors, and a COVID-19 vaccination clinic will be on site.
The event is set to take place from Sept. 2 to 5.
