Northlands College is hoping a newly announced Elders Advisory Council will provide guidance in the areas of Indigenous language and culture.
The school announced the formation of the council on Friday afternoon.
According to school officials, the advisory council will be made up of four Individuals from across northern Saskatchewan with the hope of Cree, Dene and Metis representation among the members.
The council would regularly meet with school managers on Indigenous initiatives.
Northlands believes the formation of this council will benefit both students and staff.
The school says the recruitment and application for the Elders Advisory Council will be announced shortly.
