Joseph Tsannie has been re-elected as the Athabasca Vice-Chief of the Prince Albert Grand Council.
The PAGC held the election Tuesday morning with Tsannie pulling out a narrow margin of victory.
267 of a possible 271 electors cast their votes with Tsannie taking in just under 53 percent of the vote. Challenger Joan Strong took in the other 47 percent.
Tsannie, a member of Hatchet Lake First Nation will now serve his third term in the position having won a previous re-election in 2015.
He will serve for the next three years.
Tsannie joins fellow vice-chief Christopher Robb and Grand Chief Brian Hardlotte on the PAGC executive.
Hardlotte won his seat by acclamation a few weeks ago.
