Metis Nation-Saskatchewan is donating funds to organizations who are helping Métis people dealing with hardship.
The MN-S is splitting $930,000 between over two dozen organizations who support Métis people experiencing disrupted employment, financial pressures and stress.
MN-S minister of health Marg Freisen said in a press release, “Many Métis and First Nations individuals depend on these services for their physical health, mental wellbeing and safety.”
One of the organizations receiving the funding is La Ronge’s Piwapan Women’s Centre.
MN-S president Glen McCallum said in the statement that these donations are to ensure the continued support to Métis people.
