Northern Teens Taking School Classes Online

New learning opportunites are now available for high school students in the North.
An on-line program known as Masinahikana offers Grade 10 courses through the Internet for kids that have been unable to continue their schooling through traditional methods.
School spokesperson Ted Green says, so far, there’s been a good response from students who — for one reason or another — have not been able to complete their Grade 10.
Green says students receive support from teachers through face-to-face meetings, telephone calls and e-mail.
Green says, ideally, courses for Grades 11 and 12 will eventually be offered online for students that may just need to pick up a few credits.
