NDP Decide To Go With Morin For By-Election

An NDP candidate has been appointed for the upcoming by-election in the Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River riding.

Buffalo Narrows product Brian Morin was chosen as the party’s candidate in the federal constituency at a nomination meeting in La Ronge today.

No other candidates came forward.

Morin says he has been too busy with issues in the riding to worry about the other candidates, including the infighting in the Liberal Party following the appointment of Joan Beatty as that party’s candidate.

Unless the Liberals decide to reverse their position on Beatty’s appointment, Morin will be running against Beatty and Conservative candidate Rob Clarke.
