Arrest Made After Cumberland House Home Invasion

Cumberland House RCMP are investigating a violent home invasion that took place early Sunday morning.

The Mounties were called after a 20-year-old man, armed with a knife, entered the residence, assaulted the 2 occupants and left with an undisclosed amount of money.

Both victims were taken to hospital for treatment and later released.

The RCMP arrested the accused hours later and charged him with break enter and theft, robbery and assault.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear in provincial court on Tuesday in La Ronge.
