RCMP Probe Suspicious Death Of Thunderchild Teen

RCMP are investigating the suspicious death of a youth in a home on the Thunderchild First Nation.

Police received the call at about 2:20 this morning.

The youth, who has not been positively identified, is believed to be in his mid-to-late teens.

Turtleford RCMP, the RCMP’s Saskatoon-based Major Crimes Unit, the Lloydminster Forensic Identification Section and the North Battleford RCMP canine unit are on the scene.

RCMP spokesman Rob Ruiters says no other details are available.

He also says a post mortem to determine the cause of death has not yet been scheduled.
