The Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) has announced charges against a fourth person in the death of Jeremy Starblanket.
In a media release sent out Monday afternoon PAPS said 44-year-old Darren Masuskapoe is charged with first degree murder in Starblanket’s death. Masuskapoe, who is from Prince Albert, made his first court appearance Monday morning in P.A.
Masuskapoe is the fourth person charged in Starblanket’s death. Previously police had also charged Henry Ratt and Keyano Ahenakew with first degree murder, while Loretta Sakebow is facing a second degree murder charge.
The charges date back to March of 2021 when emergency services were called to a home in the city on the 500 block of Fifth Street E about an explosion and fire at a home. When firefighters put out the fire they found Starblanket inside the house dead.
Police said investigators are not expecting to make any more arrests in the case.
