A new documentary series featuring firefighters from northern Saskatchewan is set to make its broadcast debut Tuesday night.
According to a media release from the Government of Saskatchewan, Guardians of the North, features northern wildland firefighters fighting fires in the summer of 2022 from both the ground and air. Viewers will also get a look at them training as well. Among the wildfires shown is one which burned more than 12,000 hectares near Stanley Mission.
People working for a number of agencies are part of the series including Saskatchewan First Nation Emergency Management (FNEM) Muskoday First Nations Fire Department and Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency.
The series is made up of six episodes and will make its broadcast debut at 10 p.m. on City TV Saskatchewan.
