A conference on Aboriginal leadership is taking place today at the University of Regina.
The event is intended to give young First Nations and Metis students a better idea of how they can flourish in today’s society.
Organizer Riel Carriere says six high-profile Aboriginal leaders are sharing their experiences and knowledge at length.
The list of guest speakers includes former NDP cabinet minister Keith Goulet and provincial court judge Gerry Morin.
They will address issues related to the history of Aboriginal leadership and where it is headed.
Carriere hopes the talks will inspire as many First Nations and Metis students as possible.
