A 64-year-old man from Christopher Lake is charged with first degree murder after a man was struck by a vehicle outside a business.

In a media release sent out Thursday afternoon RCMP said they had charged Reginald Durocher in the death of 34-year-old Ryan Clark who is from Paddockwood.

Police said they were called to a business in Northside about a collision involving a pedestrian on the evening of April 4 where they found Clark, who was pronounced dead. After investigating police said they found a vehicle hit the victim and then fled.

RCMP said they then began patrolling and found the vehicle in Little Red later that evening where they arrested Durocher.

Durocher made his first court appearance Thursday in Prince Albert Provincial Court.

RCMP said their investigation is continuing and are asking anyone with information to call 310-RCMP.
