The trial of a youth accused of first-degree murder of an Air Ronge woman has been moved to November 6.
The youth, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, who is accused of murdering 46-year-old Jennifer Hendry, was expected to begin this week at the La Ronge Provincial Court but has since been postponed due to unknown reasons.
Hendry was murdered on January 8, 2022, during a home invasion at her home on Waco Drive.
Following the murder, the RCMP released a photo and video of her suspected killer to the public.
A few days later, the RCMP announced the arrest of a teen and charged him with first-degree murder as well as one charge of robbery.
Hendry had worked at the Northlands College, La Ronge RCMP, and the Saskatchewan Health Authority, and had lived in the community for almost 20 years.
