An autopsy is being done today on the body of a 40-year-old Aboriginal man found floating in the North Saskatchewan River in Prince Albert over the weekend.

Prince Albert police have confirmed that the body found by a local person walking along the river Saturday was that of Frederick Starblanket.

The death is not considered suspicious at this point, but that could change pending the results of the autopsy.

The police are asking the public for help in retracing Starblanket’s activities before his death.
