Late Thursday afternoon Melfort RCMP said they found and arrested Keenan Crawford Head on James Smith Cree Nation. Police said he was arrested without incident.

Melfort RCMP have found the stolen Cadillac Escalade which was involved in the alert issued by police Tuesday.
In a media release sent out Wednesday afternoon, RCMP said the stolen vehicle was found in a rural area on James Smith Cree Nation. Police said they did not find any weapons inside the vehicle.
RCMP said they are looking for 34-year-old Keenan Crawford Head in relation to the stolen vehicle. They said Head is also wanted on a charge of failing to comply with a release order.
The suspect is described as being five feet nine inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds. Head has brown hair and brown eyes.
Police consider Head to be armed and dangerous and are asking people who see him not to approach him. Anyone who sees Head is asked to call police.

The James Smith Cree Nation was put on and hold and secure earlier today by RCMP due to a suspected armed person.
Mounties said a black 2012 Cadillac Escalade SUV with Saskatchewan license plate 190 MVF was stolen in Prince Albert at approximately 9:30 this morning.
The preliminary investigation determined that the suspect may be armed, but authorities could not confirm.
“Melfort RCMP have conducted proactive patrols in the James Smith Cree Nation and surrounding communities. Melfort RCMP initially recommended a hold-and-secure to the community as a precaution, which has since been lifted. Officers continue to provide regular updates to the leadership in James Smith Cree Nation as the investigation progresses,” said a statement from the RCMP.
“At this stage in the investigation, the location and destination of the vehicle is unknown. Melfort RCMP advises the public that if you see the black 2012 Cadillac Escalade SUV, do not approach, and report this sighting to police immediately by calling 911 or your local police of jurisdiction.”
