UPDATE
A dangerous person alert for Onion Lake Cree Nation is no longer in effect.
In a media release sent out late Thursday afternoon police said Randy Cooke was arrested on the First Nation without incident and that there is not risk to public safety.
RCMP said their investigation is continuing.

RCMP are looking for an armed man on Onion Lake Cree Nation.
Police said they are looking for 35-year-old Randy Cooke. Cooke is described as being five feet nine inches tall and weighing around 160 pounds. He has brushed cut black hair and brown eyes. Cooke was last known to be travelling on foot and carrying a gun.
People on Onion Lake are being advised to not leave a secure location and stay in doors away from windows. Drivers are being advised not to pick up hitch hikers and travel to a from the community is being discouraged.
Anyone with information is being asked to call 911.
