RCMP are asking the public to be on the lookout for a wanted 31-year-old man.
Dominic Ahenakew is described as being six feet tall and weighing around 200 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and is believed to be driving a white Chevrolet pick up truck.
Police said Ahenakew is wanted on a number of charges including attempted murder after a man was shot outside a home on the Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation Tuesday. RCMP said the man who was shot was taken to hospital by STAR Air Ambulance and remains in hospital in serious but stable condition. Police said the victim and accused are known to each other.
Ahenakew is considered to be armed and dangerous and police are asking people who see him not to approach him.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ahenakew is being asked to call RCMP of Crime Stoppers.
