RCMP are investigating a shooting on the Shoal Lake Cree Nation.
Mounties said at approximately 6AM Wednesday there was a report of a discharged firearm near a home.
“At this time there is no increased risk to public safety identified in relation to this investigation. This investigation has determined the incident is not random in nature. What our officers need is information from the public to assist with our on-going investigation,” said Sergeant Richard Tonge, Detachment Commander of Carrot River RCMP.
