The Saskatchewan RCMP have charged a 22-year-old man in relation to the death of Dedrick Stick.

Police said Samuel Kiseyinewakup is charged with second degree murder in relation to Stick’s death. Stick was found hurt at a home on Makwa Sahgaihcan First Nation on Feb. 1 and died due to his injuries.

At the time investigators said they had found Stick had been involved in an altercation with people at another home where he was injured before fleeing to the home where he was found.

Kiseyinewakup was arrested in Prince Albert, where he was in custody at the Prince Albert Correction Centre. He made his first court appearance Monday morning in Prince Albert Provincial Court.
