FSIN Leaders Handed New Responsibilities

Members of the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations executive have new duties following what the FSIN is calling a “major portfolio shuffle”.
Newly-elected Second Vice-Chief Delbert Wapass will be in charge of lands, resources and housing.
As well, he will share the economic development file with Chief Lawrence Joseph.
Joseph takes over gaming, which had been in the hands of First Vice-Chief Morley Watson.
Joseph will also look after governmental relations.
Watson assumes control of finance and justice.
Those jurisdictions had been in the hands of Third Vice-Chief Glen Pratt.
Pratt now takes over files formerly held by former vice-chief Guy Lonechild — health and urban development.
Fourth Vice-Chief Lyle Whitefish retains his original portfolio assignments of education and special events.
