Identity Of Suspected Predator Brought Up In Court

A man facing six counts of sexual assault against children on the Mistawasis reserve made another court appearance in Prince Albert today.

 

Devon Brandon shuffled around nervously while lawyers discussed the case.

 

At issue today were concerns around Brandon’s identity.

 

The judge noted a traffic ticket had been issued for a Devon Shane Starr on April 5th of this year.

 

The offence was for driving on the Shellbrook highway without a valid licence.

 

Brandon’s attorney told the judge that was, in fact, his client.

 

The court then sorted through conflicting birthdates before determining Brandon’s age to be 26 years.

 

He will remain behind bars until his next court appearance on December 4th.
