A fundraising campaign has been put in place for two boys and a woman from Flying Dust First Nation killed in a highway crash last week.

On Friday, the two boys, aged 5 and 6, along with a 48-year-old woman were declared dead at the scene of a Highway 4 collision south of Cochin.

Another woman was taken to hospital in serious condition.

A GoFundMe page has now been set up to cover the funeral costs for the boys.

The page identifies the two boys as Dominic Ritchey and Asher Patterson-Ritchey and says the proceeds will go to their aunt Cheyenne Ritchey.

“To help offset some of the very unexpected costs for their arrangements I’ve set ip this GoFundMe for my best friend Chyeene and their family,” read the page set up by Acyan Blythe.

According to the page, the woman in hospital is the boy’s grandmother and main caregiver.

As of Tuesday, the fundraising efforts had raised nearly $6,000.
