One person has been charged in relation to Prince Albert’s second homicide of the year.
In the morning of July 1, police responded to a residence on Kemp Crescent for a complaint of a disturbance. On arrival, they found a man suffering serious injuries.
The man was transported to Victoria Hospital via ambulance, where he died of his injuries.
An autopsy was conducted on July 2, and the victim was identified as 41-year-old Norman Wenzel.
Yesterday, police said they arrested 38-year-old Quintin Gardiner and charged him with first-degree murder in relation to Wenzel’s death.
Gardiner made his first court appearance today.
Police continue to investigate and ask anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
