Police are investigating a fire at a church in the north west community of Loon Lake from the week.
RCMP say a fire destroyed St. George’s Church in the village on Saturday morning.
According to police, the church was fully engulfed in flames when officers arrived.
No one was in the church at the time and no injuries have been reported.
RCMP say the investigation is in its preliminary stages.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area of the church on Saturday morning is asked to contact police.
The building was constructed in 1938 and still held a community service once per month.
