On September 16, 2024 at approximately 5 a.m., La Ronge RCMP received a report of a seriously injured 29-year-old male outside an apartment building on Bedford Drive in La Ronge, Saskatchewan.
The male victim was transported to hospital and where he later succumbed to his injuries.
He has been identified as Darris Sanderson from Pinehouse Lake, SK.
As a result of continued investigation, officers from Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes and the Warrant Enforcement Suppression Team (WEST) have made an arrest.
On October 16, 2024. La Ronge RCMP arrested 25-year-old Tyrell Dumais of La Ronge.
He is charged with one count, manslaughter.
He is scheduled to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on October 17, 2024.
