The Village of Ile-a-la Crosse is on the look out for their next logo and is calling out for artists to get creative for their logo contest.

The logo contest deadline is November 1, 2024, and artists of all kinds are invited to submit their ideas to the Village office.

There is a grand prize of $1,000 for the artist whose logo is selected.

The inspiration for this logo contest is the upcoming 250th anniversary of Ile-a-la Crosse which is in 2026.

“The logo is very important and it’s open to absolutely anybody and it’s basically Ile-a-la Cross celebrating 250 years,” said Maureen Bellanger, events coordinator.

The current logo at Village offices is round and it has lacrosse sticks with a nun and holds historical meaning.

“It’s gonna be difficult to make a decision, I can see that already, I went to look at some of the submissions yesterday and they are really awesome,” explained Bellanger,  “We have a ton of graphic designers and artists, you know, so the creativity is definitely there.”

Ile-a-la Crosse is the second oldest community in Saskatchewan and they will be celebrating 250 years in 2026.

To submit your logo design for the logo contest there are a few ways. You can drop it off at the Village office; submit to the Village of Ile-a-la Crosse Facebook page; or emailing the Village office at village.of.ilealacrosse@sasktel.net.
