Results are in from Montreal Lake Cree Nation’s by-election.
Shown below, Ricky Bird received a total of 195 votes with Conrad Naytowhow receiving 323 votes.
Naytowhow will serve in the position until two weeks prior to the date of the next General Election.
An Oath of Office Ceremony for Naytowhow will be held tomorrow at the Senator Allen Bird Memorial School gymnasium at 10a.m.

Montreal Lake Cree Nation is holding a by-election.
The by-election is being held to fill a council position that was formerly held by the late Arnold Naytowhow.
Naytowhow was elected to council last year and passed away at the age of 63 in January of this year. Prior to being elected last year he served as a councilor between 2005 and 2011.
His profile included housing, social development, community events and more.
Nomination meetings for the council position were held on November 1, 5, and 6.
Ricky Bird and Conrad Naytowhow are the two candidates who have put their names forward for the position.
The by-election will be held on November 18. Polls will open at 9p.m. and close at 6p.m. Information on polling stations can be found below.
