The Pierceland RCMP have located and arrested Lorne Singer at a residence on Big Island Lake Cree Nation.
Lorne Singer was wanted by Pierceland RCMP for charges including forcible confinement, assault with a weapon, and multiple firearm related charges.
Lorne Singer is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on November 18, 2024.
In a statement released by the Pierceland RCMP, on November 12, 2024, at approximately 1:15 p.m., the RCMP received a report of an adult female who had been forcibly confined at a residence on Big Island Lake Cree Nation.
The officers responded immediately and determined an adult male forcibly confined and assaulted an adult female. The female, who was known to him, was confined at the residence. The adult female was able to escape from the residence and get assistance.
She reported to the police that she had non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result of continued investigation, on November 12 at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Big Island Lake Cree Nation where they located and seized a firearm, a machete, and a baton.
Following further investigation, RCMP have charged 42-year-old Lorne Singer from Big Island Lake Cree Nation with: one count, forcible confinement; one count, break and enter with intent; one count, assault with a weapon; one count, assault; one count, carry a weapon for the purpose to commit an offence; one count, uttering threats; one count, criminal harassment; one count, store a firearm in a careless manner; one count, possess a firearm when not the holder of a license; and two counts, possess a firearm when prohibited.
A warrant has been issued for Lorne Singer’s arrest.
The Pierceland RCMP are continuing to work on locating and arresting Lorne Singer. They are asking members of the public to report all sightings and information about his whereabouts.
Lorne Singer is described as approximately 6’0” tall and 150 lbs.
He has brown eyes and black hair.
