From a media release sent out by Prince Albert Police Service, on November 17, 2024, just after 6 a.m., the police responded to the 300 block of 32nd Street West for a report of a discharged firearm and an injured person.

On arrival, police located a 23-year-old injured male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported by Parkland Ambulance to the Victoria Hospital with serious and life-threatening injuries.

The victim remains in the hospital recovering.

The file continues to be investigated; however, no arrests have been made.

Police are asking anyone with video surveillance in the area to check their cameras for any footage that may have captured the incident or suspects fleeing the area.
