Someone is apparently taking responsibility for $1.2 million that went missing from Saskatchewan casinos.
On Saturday, the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix published an interview with Alain Germain, who owns an automated teller machine (ATM) business.
The 50-year-old is one of three people and several corporations who were named in a $1.2 million lawsuit filed by the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority.
SIGA apparently lost the money through its ATM machines.
Germain claims that he took the money, and that he acted alone.
A spokesman for SIGA says the corporation won’t comment on the matter while it is before the courts.
