More details are emerging about plans for the Moosomin First Nation’s urban reserve in North Battleford.

Chief Danny Blackstar says they plan to construct a building on the land for the Battlefords Agency Tribal Chiefs.

They also plan to provide other office space and a place to sell, fix and clean vehicles.

Blackstar says construction of the vehicle sales and service building could begin this fall.

He doesn’t expect construction of the BATC building to start until late next fall — approximately a year from now.

The land covers about five acres.

This week, Blackstar and North Battleford mayor Ian Hamilton signed papers to make the reserve a reality.
