Semaganis Elected Chief Of Little Pine Band

Wayne Semaganis is the new chief of the Little Pine First Nation.
Semaganis got 112 votes in yesterday’s chief and council election, beating seven other candidates.
Incumbent chief Pat Bonaise didn’t seek re-election.
Only one incumbent councillor, Rusty Nighttraveller, hung on to his job.
New councillors are Russell Kennedy — who received the most votes with 165 — Richard Checkosis, Serinda Baptiste, and Earl Nighttraveller.
