Province, SCN Losing Cultural Opportunity

The government decision to close of Saskatchewan Communications Network is costing the province a unique cultural opportunity.
For 15 years, producer Ken Schaffer has been trying to launch a Métis television network in Saskatchewan.
He was working with SCN until the province decided to axe the station, and now Schaffer is moving his project to British Columbia.
He says a generation of children will lose out on jobs and learning about their heritage.
Schaffer says he has some of the financing in place and the licensing from the CRTC.
