Search For Missing 9-1-1 Caller Called Off

The ground search for a man who called 9-1-1 early Friday morning in the La Ronge area has been officially suspended.

A man identifying himself as George James called police, saying he was lost in the woods and he was being chased.

Police have been unable to track him down ever since.

Local tracker Tom Charles says as many as 11 searchers were in the woods again this morning, but they are being pulled out.

Charles says the investigation will now focus on the cell phone the caller used.
