Black Lake Partners Up With Pronto Airways

The Black Lake First Nation has become a player in the airline industry.

This morning the band officially bought a 25 percent stake in Pronto Airways.

The airline provides scheduled passenger and cargo service to the north in places including Uranium City, Prince Albert, Saskatoon, Points North and Wollaston Lake and others.

Chief Donald Sayeze says he believes the new partnership will bring a lot of benefits.

“Well the reason I did that was because it is a very good opportunity for band economic development.”

Sayeze says negotiations have been going on for some time.
