Suspect Charged In Kawacatoose Hit-And-Run

A 31-year-old man from the Kawacatoose First Nation has been charged in relation to a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of a 17-year-old girl.

The victim, who was also from Kawacatoose, was struck by a vehicle while walking on a reserve road on January 22nd and died from her injuries.

Joseph Gordon has been charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident and driving while disqualified.

He will appear in Punnichy Provincial Court on July 6th.
