Six men from the Cowessess First Nation made their first court appearances this morning in Yorkton in connection to a “large brawl” on the reserve last week.

The RCMP say the fight took place last Wednesday night, and resulted in three men being hospitalized.

The Mounties say when they arrived on the scene, a 37-year-old man was found in serious condition and was transported to the Regina General Hospital where at last word he was listed in critical, but stable condition.

Two other men involved in the fight, aged 38 and 40, received several injuries and were treated in hospital and then released.

The RCMP eventually tracked down and arrested the six suspects.

20-year-old Crandall Anthony Sparvier, 20-year-old Boston Dale McKay, 20-year-old Eli Dakota Ironstar, 19-year-old Eli Durango Ironstar, 22-year-old Brody Brock Sparvier, and 19-year-old Mickey Darnell Lavallee have all been charged with aggravated assault.

The investigation continues.
