FSIN Hoping To Work With Governments On Gang Issue

FSIN Vice-Chief Delbert Wapass says the government needs to do more than build correctional facilities to tackle gang violence.

Wapass says that First Nations need to be part of the solution — but also need the resources to do it.

He says First Nations and all levels of government need to work together in a formal partnership.

Wapass notes the English River and Piapot First Nations are developing gang intervention facilities for at-risk youth.
