Poundmaker “Chief” Requests Third Party Manager

A man who says he is the chief of the Poundmaker Cree Nation says he’s asked Indian Affairs Minister Chuck Strahl to appoint a third party manager, so the band can sort out its financial affairs.
Milton Tootoosis says he and his council sent a letter to that effect on Friday.
Tootoosis and his council were elected by people attending a band custom meeting last week.
The chief at that time, Duane Antoine, says he and his council don’t recognize that alleged new chief and council.
