Aerial surveys, a base camp and volunteer search crews are scouring the area between Pinehouse Lake and Canoe Lake for a missing northerner.

55 year-old Norbert Couilonneur was last seen in Pinehouse between May 27th and May 31st.

He was known to visit cabins along the lake talking to people and relatives.

However, no one has seen him for over two weeks.

Robert Opikokew says an airplane was dispatched to survey the area on Friday.

Volunteers have also come in from Jans Bay, Cole Bay and Canoe Lake.

Opikokew says everyone is hoping to find him.

Couilonneur is described as being five-foot-eight, 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

He has deformities on both hands and is missing some teeth.

At the time he went missing he was wearing a dark red jacket, jeans and a ball cap.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts can contact the RCMP or Crimestoppers.
